Second, I will strengthen the role of our international conferences as venues for academic exchange and dissemination of research. These events will facilitate vibrant scholarly discourse in the field of applied linguistics and broaden the sharing of research outcomes. We will carefully select conference themes that reflect key issues in the field and work to ensure the delivery of high-caliber keynote, plenary, and featured presentations, as well as high-quality paper and poster sessions. Our aim is to create meaningful opportunities for engagement with renowned international and domestic scholars, as well as mid-career and emerging researchers, while fostering dialogue across generations of academics.

Third, I will actively seek to strengthen our collaboration with related associations both in Korea and abroad. These partnerships will allow us to stay attuned to evolving research trends and promote active scholarly exchange. ALAK currently maintains close ties with several international associations, and we plan to reinforce these networks while also seeking new sister associations to expand international research collaboration.

Lastly, I will work to enhance education in applied linguistics. In addition to workshops on research methodology, we will offer sessions on digital literacy and AI ethics— essential topics in this era of artificial intelligence and digital technology. By offering both online and offline workshops, we aim to increase accessibility and participation for our members, while revitalizing face-to-face academic exchange.
