Call for Proposals

2025 ALAK International Conference & AILA East Asia Forum

The Applied Linguistics Association of Korea (ALAK) cordially invites you to submit an abstract for the 2025 ALAK International Conference and AILA (International Association of Applied Linguistics) East Asia Forum, to be held at Seoul National University on September 20, 2025. The theme of the conference is “Language Education and Learning Sciences.” The conference will cover a wide range of topics related to applied linguistics, with particular emphasis on studies in language education and learning sciences. We aim primarily to bring researchers from around the world closer together to exchange ideas on both practical and theoretical issues in applied linguistics and to discuss future research directions. Specific topics for this conference include, but are not limited to:

• Computational Linguistics
• Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL)
• Corpus Linguistics
• Curriculum and Materials Development
• Experimental Linguistics
• First Language Acquisition
• Psycholinguistics
• Second Language Acquisition (SLA)
• Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language
• Teaching Korean as a Second/Foreign Language

We are delighted to announce that we will have talks from three plenary speakers.
